On your blog you have posted, your neighbors you've "ghosted"
With goodies that you made from scratch.
The candy--you tried it, forgetting your diet--
And you went picking at the old pumpkin patch.
The jack-o-lanterns you carved, but your kids didn't starve
'Cause you made them their favorite chili.
The classroom fun's ready, the games you'll hold steady,
Looking chic in a costume that's silly.
You'll go to the parties, you'll give out the Smarties.
You'll hang spider webs and light candles, too.
Tho' you might feel a bit batty, don't say anything catty...
Just be glad your li'l pumpkins love you!
At 5:30 everything will start to come all apart--
But you'll fix and you'll patch and you'll stitch,
And if kids start complaining or the weather starts raining
Don't let this Halloween turn you into witch!
Here's wishing you all a headache free holiday!!

That is so cute. Did you write that yourself??
Thanks, Bridget! What time is it there? You must be ready for an early crack at the Halloween fun.
Yes...I actually laid in bed this morning and thought it up. Sad...sad...sad...
Thanks, Gab! Happy Halloween to you and your Halloweenies!
Gab, you are one talented little chickie. Love it!
Love the Halloween ode...so creative and so true. Things do start to come apart around 5:30, then again at 8:30 when costumes are drooping, everyone has had too much sugar, wants to eat more, should be in bed, and high schoolers start ringing the doorbell :) I do love Halloween, though! Enjoy.
How fun was that?!
Here was a Gracism this morning: "Why isn't it dark?" Jane: "Because it's morning!" Grace: "But it's Halloween!"
They are pretty excited and may not be able to wait till tonight! The kids went to school in their costumes this morning. They were so cute. Can't wait to post pictures in the morning.
You are too clever- I love reading your stuff....happy halloweenier!
That is so clever. So clever.
You were right on the mark about costumes coming undone. I've already re-worked costumes three times this week.
Think you could write us all a Thanksgiving poem too?
You are so creative Gabi. I feel rather intimidated by you and all your friends here with the talents that you have!
And no, it was not from us that you got your last "boo"!
Lisa Marie--I will start on a turkey poem for you!! I love to write ditties...a talent I inherited from my mother. You will have to read her blog...she is extremely gifted!
Davr--I intimidate you!?! How intimidating is it to have your former bishop reading your blog? Plus, now with your stake calling, I have to be really careful. Otherwise my hubby will be fired from his stake calling. Hmmmm....
Oops, that's cute but I read it way too late. I was the witch by 11 am. "Is it time to go trick-or-treating yet mom?"
I need you to come write some guest blog poems for me. That was awesome.
p.s. I used your Halloweenie word today. I hope you don't mind. People have been calling me a halloweenie all day because I've been a little grumpy.
Okay...I never put that much work into my posts. I'm very stream-of-consciousness, in case you hadn't posted.
And I was only mean for the 20 minutes I was getting them ready and taking their pictures. That's pretty good for a whole day, right?
Cute poem, Gab-lin!
