The past two weeks have been some of our most fun, relaxing and memorable days ever. Seeing the country at eye-level is fascinating. Spending time with long-lost friends and relatives-- absolutely priceless.
Thanks so much to everyone who has hosted, fed, or entertained our family in any way. You people are amazing. We owe you. Big Time.
Tomorrow will be the grand splash finale--a day on the lake in Uncle Sco's boat.
Next stop: Sunshine Central (or as Brad likes to call it...Satan's Backyard).
I'll keep you posted.

wow! talk about seeing the country! i'm looking forward to the "reality" post in which you document the bickering and vomiting.
those are so fun.
Thanks so much for the update - I've missed you! Glad you are having a wonderful time.
I'm amazed that after two weeks in a mini-van, you emerged as such a happy, loving, enthusiastic group! It would be understandable if a couple of you were bound and gagged in the back, but your clan has bonded big-time.
It was SO fun to see everybody in their wild and crazy state in the woods, cooperative, helpful, cheerful. We loved every minute of your visit!
You are brave, brave souls. I am not sure I could have survived the snake alone.
BTW, did Micah squeal like a girl when the snake was found? I think he did once when we visited and Chase found a frog in their window wells.
Wow. What fun! I just LOVE summer and you guys really know how to live it up.
The theme song that goes along with this post is "I've Been Everywhere"! How fun! I'm glad you are surviving!
Oh B-rad and Peter will get along just fine. Peter calls it Satan's anvil. Which is why we are experiencing 51 degree weather in WA right now. Be back on the 19th. Can't wait to SEE you!
That looks so fun!
SO. FUN.
Oh my heck! You've been busy. Looks like you're having a blast!! I've missed you.
Can't wait to hear more about all the traveling...
Moving to AZ in the dead of summer. You're crazy, a good kind of crazy, but crazy. Lauren and Skyler want to settle there, so not only would have have grandkids there, I'd have a friend!!!
PS. You just took my dream vacation. Seeing the country...ah.
looks like you zig-zagged across the country and hit every spot! glad you're settling into the 'west'!
I have been gone for summer vacation...so I am late to comment. I just have to say that I love that you are making the most of your journey out west.
Satan's backyard...heh, heh, heh...is this where I say, "At least it's a dry heat, right?"
It was good to read about your journey. I have been thinking about you.
Oh, and I love the pictures. My favorite is the swimming pool in Cincinnati. I love that you got all three of your boys in the action shot.
