The Great Outdoors

While on our month-long vacation, I realized that I didn't even miss my house or my car or my wardrobe.

In fact, the only thing I really missed was my backyard!

(Do you have an Airpogo? Best toy ever...)
Our last home was brand-new, really cute and in a great neighborhood. But it had a lousy backyard.

So...we moved.

And it has been a beautiful thing.

Because, in case you hadn't noticed, my kids are the "outdoor" type!

They need wide, open spaces.

And, although I prefer a comfy couch and air-conditioning...I'm learning to get my hands dirty, too.

My kids aren't the only wildlife back there...
A good backyard is worth a few bucks!

Fantastic backyard and I love that huge tree! We are missing our previous backyard right now. (We're in military housing) Our fenced in yard is just big enough to contain our trampoline. But I am grateful for what's beyond our tiny yard- a community park.

You are so funny..."worth a few bucks". That backyard is a true thing of beauty. We have our own wildlife (as you so cleverly put it) around here. I love sending them in the backyard to play.

Yeah, that backyard is a park! It totally puts mine to shame, even though I have a pool.

I love your yard! I love all yards! I have always thought if you have a good yard and you can't vacation, it's ok, cause you can vacation in your backyard. Just grab your favorite drink and snack and head outside to your favorite spot and you can be anywhere in the world, and you only have to walk a few steps.

I love it! Sure puts our dinky little Arizona yard to shame. We've got to get out there sometime to visit!

I LOVE your backyard, I didn't think thigs like that exsited anymore! We had yards like that in Missouri and Virgina, but not here!

You know, your back yard is the yard we measure all others against. When we were house hunting, it was, "Well, this isn't as big as Gabi and Brad's." We strive to have one just like yours someday. It is just the best!

I'm jealous! We live in a new neighborhood and all the squatty trees are so sad.
