Hives at our Hive

It started with a tummy ache and fever. It ended with a serious case of leprosy. At least, that's what my overactive mombrain decided.
Luckily, the doctor said it was just a virus and all these things are typical back-to-school symptoms. A little cortizone cream, a low-dose steroid and everything is all cleared up.

In the meantime, I had a chatty daytime buddy most of the week and Sam's fantasies of life as an only child were temporarily fulfilled.

We spent a lot of time talking about his plans for the future, which include (in no particular order): becoming a chef, having 12 children, living next door to me, attending BYU, marrying a beautiful girl, going to Legoland and working as a cashier at Fry's.

Sam is a delightful child.

Hilarious. Abby seriously drew in her notebook for 3 hours today about her cupcake store. Flavors, Specials, Seasons, cupcake names! Hope he is feeling better! Wanna go to lunch tomorrow? I have to do a shop!

Aw. I like his plans for the future. Sorry he has hives...but I do think it is lovely that he had his fantasy of being an only child temporarily realized.

I think it is a splendid idea to live next door to you so that you can help with the 12 grandchildren.

Poor baby! Those hives look awful. Doesn't it just make you wonder how many viruses are out there floating around the schools? Yikes.

HA HA! I love that he wants to live next to you. When is it that they change? So funny to look at our hubbies and to think at one point they, too, wanted to be with their mamas forever.

I hope he is feeling better now. Hives are a drag. I wouldn't mind living next door to you. Or being a chef.

Sam is a cutie! I can't believe that he already has beautiful girls on his mind. He's definitely a ladies' man, a true charmer. Can't wait to see him and his siblings in October!!!

Eeeeek. The back to school crud. It's inevitable, isn't it?

I hope all his dreams come true!

My little guy occasionally gets a rash like hives before he gets a cold...somehow that's how the virus begins. When it first happened, we did the full panel allergy tests (OUCH) but he is allergic to nothing!

That is adorable! He really has high aspirations!

You must make parenthood look fun! Hope he's cleared up soon.

Oh, you actually talk to your kids when they're home from school? I just try and pretend they actually left LIKE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO while I feed another Scooby Doo into the DVD player.

This picture of Sam is priceless. The slightly annoyed with mom but dutiful son so his mom can get a picture for her blog look. Adorable. My Hannah suffered from the same fever and rash the week before school started. What kinda viruses do I have around my house? I'm jealous that you and Lindsey get to go to lunch!
