In Denial of the Fact That...

  1. Seminary starts back up tomorrow. My alarm clock will be buzzing at 5 am. Eastern Standard Time, people.
  2. This week's high is 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
  3. Two of my children--the ones who have been living on candy canes for four weeks straight and whose daily oral hygiene routine is over before you can say gingivitis--have dental appointments right after school.
  4. 10 pounds Christmas cookie pleasure = 10 pounds New Years' pain. (Welcome back, Carbface. How I have missed ye...)
  5. A couple of my favorite guys have a birthday this week. They will be expecting cake, balloons and thoughtfully selected gifts, preferably not wrapped in Santa paper.
  6. 2010 is the year I turn 40.
  7. The toys-- that looked so cute wrapped under the tree and stuffed merrily into the stockings --don't look so cute now that they are unwrapped and strewn merrily throughout the family room.
  8. My Gapcard payment is due.

Anybody with me?

I hear you loud and clear. I am happy as a clam that everyone will be back to school and work but not looking forward to getting out of bed before 10am. Yes, I slept in a lot over vacation. Its going to hurt tomorrow. Happy birthday to those cute boys!!!

I thought you were much younger than me and it does my heart good to know you'll be in the 40s with me. It's lonely here - I need friends so hurry up. And I go back to work tomorrow after 11 days off. Pain personified.

It was 13 degrees today driving home from church. That's just sick and wrong.

I totally feel the poundage pain. Starting hardcore tomorrow, provided I can actually bring myself to throw out the Christmas candy...

I am so with you! Life goes on tomorrow. Kinda sad to see it go, but also glad to have the routine back.

I was so excited that the stores got rid of all the Christmas candy so no more temptation. Then I forgot about Valentine's Day. And yeah, I was in the store on Saturday, and bought some. Shame on me!

Mike just got called to be the Seminary teacher. He starts this week...how do you do it, girlie? I have more respect than ever for you.

I am with you on the poundage gain. My rear end needs to make some resolutions. Oh, and I already want to throw away all of the Christmas gifts that are never put away.

I kind of want to crawl under a rock. Well, a rock with chocolate under it.

I can so relate to you here. Especially the carb face. I've thought about that, like, 20 times since you posted it. Not that it stopped any carb-eating mind you...just made me feel extra ugly!

No carb face now, back on the Hcg diet and there are NO carbs ANYWHERE near my mouth.

I'm with you on all of them except seminary and dental appointments! The husband's birthday is in a week--terrible time for a b-day.

Welcome back my carb face as well and carb bum, carb tummy and carb thighs...

My gapcard payment is due too and it's not pretty. Looks like that's where the Christmas gift money is going...yuck.

I was just getting used to getting up at 8:30 every day. Yes, you read that correctly. I am a lazy and slothful person. And I enjoyed every minute of my laying around!!!

And carb face? Oh baby, call me fudgey-pudgey. Couldn't get enough of the smooth chocolate goodness!
