Eventful

Anyone else feel like this time of year is just one big sprint toward Memorial Day? Our life right now is an Olympic event. One venue after another. I want a gold medal.

Here's a peek at our family's steeplechase...

Baseball and softball, contrary to my earlier doubts, have provided a great experience for the older two. Personally, I like the games a lot. You know why? Because I get to sit in a chair for two hours. And watch someone else tell my kids what to do. Grandslam!
Not to be outdone by their big sibs, the twinks had their own athletic event...

My cute friend, Marci, was in town doing a QVC show with Lisa Bearnson, Scrapbook Guru. She invited me to the live taping. I was hoping someone I knew would call in and order a Sissix machine, but apparently you were all too busy. Still, it was fun and fascinating.

But, the best event of the week was a Mother's Day Tea, which included...

fine art,

elegant refreshments,
handmade gifts,

and a certain classroom classiness.
Here's hoping your Mother's Day (and mine) are completely UNeventful!

I DO love watching my kids play baseball. My younger two are so happy to go back and forth between the concession stand and the playground that it's like a two hour vacation for me. Plus, the older they get, the more fun the games are. Go baseball!

You look 20 years old in that picture with your boys.

Now you know why I always pose with my daughter.

I can't wait for tomorrow. When I get a day "off" so I can actually enjoy being a mom.

I love the artwork.

I wish you a quiet Mother's Day.

Thank you for having my life and being as exhausted as I am. I'm glad you manage to sound so postive in your summary. Impressive.

I love your "take" on baseball. I've always loved the games, but I will look at it as more of a break from now on. Play ball!!

This wind up until the end of school is NUTSO! I hope you continue to enjoy it!

It's sometimes hard to recognize fun while you're busy having it. It seems too much like work. You'll love looking back on these days when you're sitting quietly (and very happily) watching them do it all for their kids.

And you deserve more than a medal—you deserve a whole bar of gold!

I love the picture of you and the twinks. You are so clever, loved the, "Grandslam!" I really love the pictures, too. Especially the one of Emily through the fence.

Ah, that's where you've been. I've missed you! What a fun, rather glamorous life you lead.

The Mother's dinner I cooked was awesome. And cleaning it up took no time at all.

I need to train my family better.

(Although you'd think after 26 years of mothering they'd all be pros. Maybe they're as tired of me as I am of them!)

Those twins are sure cute! I want to go to a Mother's Day Tea like that. Hope you had the best day "OFF"!
