Talking to my mom about my 20-year high school reunion this summer...
Mom: So, what are you going to wear?
Me: I don't know yet. I was actually thinking of buying something out there.
Mom (audibly sucking air in through her teeth): Are you SURE you want to do that? The shopping is so much better out in your neck of the woods...
Me: I know, but the reunion is still 6 weeks away. I mean, I will probably be 20 pounds thinner and a couple inches taller by then.
Mom (almost keeping the giggle out of her voice): Good point.

You look great!
We want to come to the reunion, but I have a surgery in early August, so we are trying to change some things around to be able to go. It would be great to meet you. And, no, my husband won't be wearing overalls :)
I'm right there with you on the optimistic logic: vacations, reunions, .
Also, I am convinced I should lose weight immediately if I turn down something yummy...just shrink away a size when I say "no thanks."
{But don't leave the shopping until your trip, ok? I did that and wept. Maybe you could take a just-in-case outfit.}
It could happen!!
I have my 20 year high school reunion this year, too...I totally am subscribing to this brand of female logic!
'88 is great!
I love it. But I agree with Annie, don't save the shopping. My theory is you can buy something at home and then shop there in Utah too. See if you find something better there.
I like the just-in-case outfit idea. Have several to model for us.
20 years? gabi, that can't be true..because if it is...that means that i'm really, really old...and i think the just in case outfit should definitely come along...you never know...
Isn't it funny how we think this way? Every spring I do it before swimsuit season. I count the weeks and figure if I lose 2-pounds each week...
Eh, I've been doing it for 3 years now. Why can't there be a magic pill?
20 pounds huh? I need to find out your secret...I'd love to lose 20 pounds in 6 weeks! :0)
I have yet to find my 20-pound- lighter outfit and so I have yet to go to a high school reunion...
I am with the others: shop now and later.
Pass on the secret to the height gain and weight loss. I have the big day in 6 weeks...we can both believe in modern day miracles!
Don't have a dress for the reception yet.
Yes I vote for having lots of options. Buy now and you can return it if you find something better!
Ugh.. these full length mirrors in our new house have NOT been good on my self esteem. Good luck on your 20 lbs!
Totally my logic, too for when I went to BP...it sort of worked (except for the 20 lbs and a few inches taller.)
I know you will look fabulous in any thing you pick out. Go with Bridget's idea, I would shop in both places too!
Let me know how that reunion goes; my 20th is in 2 years. Weird, eh?
I'm positive you WILL be 20 pounds thinner and taller. Also, probably will have magically grown bigger boobs. Good luck with all that!
Not that I even know if you want or need bigger ta-ta's. It's just that I have a fixation.
