Anyone Else Out There...

...get up late this morning? ....raise your voice at the breakfast table? ...wonder how many more days til Daddy comes home? ...use gentle force to get kids on the schoolbus? ...ignore a pile of dirty laundry? ...snag your stockings? ...smear your liquid liner? ...pawn your youngest two off on an unsuspecting friend? ...break the speed limit? ...run through the rain? ...slide (panting) into the school cafeteria?

All so you could burst into tears at
the First Grade Mother's Day Tea?
(Wasn't it the cutest?!)
p.s. Did you also have difficulty finding yourself in portrait form?
Happy Mother's Day, Everybody!
(Here's hoping that someday we'll all be as pretty as our portraits...)

Who knew you were so tan?

Happy Mother's Day to you to. And yes, I think the twins are ready for camping.

LOVE the portrait! It's a good thing they are sooooo stinkin' cute that we can laugh & cry and (almost) forget all of the other junk?!?

What a great idea-the ears are a little much but at least they have earrings.

Happy Mother's Day. We moan, we cry, we laugh. All part of being a mom.

Haven't worn stockings since 1982, wedding day.

You sure dressed up, pearls even. Impressive.

I have many such mornings, only they don't end in an adorable tea party with anyone. They usually end with me feeling guilty about how crabby I was.

Love your portrait. Looks just like you.

I know! My hair and hips ALWAYS look better in my children-drawn portraits!

I would have cried, too...those Mother's Day events melt my heart!

I love Celia's comment about how tan you look :)

You mean you didn't pick that portrait out immediately?

I am determined to teach my children that my hair is colored with a YELLOW crayon. I pay too much money for highlights for them to pick out that brown crayon.

yeah, what mascara does your daughter think you use? I love the lashes. Looks like a fabulous time. I wish my daughter had this activity.

Only kids can be guilty of crimes and look so innocent! No matter how upset you are they charm the socks right off you! (Is that what happened to your socks?) Darling Em.

She is such a cutie! I think the first grade had something like that at my son's school on Friday morning. It was quite the zoo. 125+ parents trying to check in at the office and 40+ parent chaperones also trying to check in. I didn't get to go to the tea party. I got to go to the Disney's Animal Kingdom field trip.
