Multiple Choice

Read the following story problem, choose the best solution.

You are alone with your four children while your husband travels on a 9-day business trip. The day he leaves: the washing machine begins making a strange clinking noise, the maintenance light in your car starts blinking, child #3 suddenly has a cough and runny nose, strong spring storms are in the five-day forecast, and your gastroenterologist recommends you not consume chocolate or carbonation for six weeks (!) as you recover from minor throat-stretching surgery.

Which is most likely to occur?

a. Soap suds all over the laundry room floor.
b. An exciting date with both the pediatrician and the car dealership service department.
c. Flooding in the basement.
d. A late-night run to the 7-11 for large quantities of chocolate and carbonation.
e. All of the above.

If it's not E, it should be. Enjoy that diet coke and chocolate. Feel NO guilt.

Seriously, how do you come up with such creative blogs...I'm totally tapped out. All I can do is put a picture up there and then blab about it.

Would snickerdoodles (no chocolate and I, personally, am craving them right now) and a diet lemonade work???

Oh, no...I fear it is E. I am so sorry!

Thank you for your beautifully put comment on my blog. You are so right, one day I will find that Batman outfit, "outgrown and empty" I will be grateful for the pictures one day...actually, the comment helped me to remember to be grateful, now. Thank you :)

Well, all of those answers suck, so I AM SORRY! I truly truly am. I hope you survive!!!!!! Pardon my mouth, but screw the doc and get your chocolate!!!!!!!

If it were me, it would totally be "e". No doubt!

Boo to E. I agree, I'm a little tapped out on good blogs like Jessica. I find when my husband is out of town I like to take all my kids shopping and spend lots of money. It's fun to spend it faster than he can make it.

Oh yeah, when it rains it pours!! :)

I'd rather die than no chocolate or Diet Pepsi. If you cut me I bleed brown carbonation.

Our washer flooded a couple of years ago, it flooded our entire downstairs. I thank God for that flood everyday when I see my beautiful new(ish) wood floors. Best thing that ever happened.

ALL THE ABOVE!

I hope you REALLY enjoyed your chocolate!

WHAT is that dr thinking? A girl can't survive on no carbonation or chocolate with The Man out of town!

I just tried to think of something clever to write here and couldn't come up with a thing. I just hope it all gets better soon.

Girl. Letter E all the way.

I give you a loud laugh for the funny creative post. I am pretty sure the answer is E. Who can live without Chocolate and Carbonation??

Annie said...

Well, if you've got to live with all of that, embrace the chocolate & the DC.

So, so sorry. These things have a way of waiting until the husband's out of town, don't they?

At least you're never bored.

what about "F"
-call your visiting teachers and ask if they're feeling any special promptings at that moment.

if they're not, lay the guilt trip. if they are, tell them they'll find the kids in the house when they arrive, but you will already be gone.

If you can't get chocolate, get shoes and ice cream. It helps.
