What do you do when it's Election Day and there's no school and you're feeling like you are trapped in a cage with a bunch of wild animals? Go to the zoo and see all the other caged wild animals! If you can't beat 'em...
UGH. I hate no school. We have it on Friday. Something about a convention for teachers. Which was what I thought we had last week when they were home. I'm with Celia. When DO they actually go?
My kids go a total of 12 days this month...between Veterans Day, Election Day, PT Conferences and Thanksgiving break. It's very hard to do my Mrs. Claus thing...
Hey! Just came to check out your blog. Nice to meet you. As for my daughter, we're still trying to figure out what's going on with her. She displays many autistic characteristics and has been referred to a pediatric neurologist for more in depth medical testing.
No school on election day? Wow. I've taken my kids to the polling place "twice" . . . the first time and the last time. Is that a sneaky ploy to discourage mothers with small children from voting? My kids loved the "I voted" stickers they received from the lovely ladies working the polls. And yes, my children did vote. Who knows what buttons they accidentally pushed while trying to "help" me. In fact I think they voted for multiple candidates multiple times, if that's at all possible.
You have no school on election day? I have to say I didn't even know what elections were even held yesterday... I walked right past the polls at school, but shamefully didn't go in. I felt I couldn't vote on something or someone I'd never ever heard of. I haven't even seen a sign on a yard. Obviously not a huge election...

Heidiram...you live in Florida, right? So it's ok-- they're used to voting mishaps...
Man, you original 13 colonies take elections a lot more seriously than us newbies over here!

Ha ha ha Jessica! Very funny comment!
I would protest no school on election day by not voting. That'll show 'em.
