So, I have not been blogging much lately because the weather is so nice and after being stuck inside all winter long...the kids and I are out there as much as my itchy eyes can handle. It is SOOOOO beautiful here in the springtime. My favorite season ever!
This week I have planting flowers. Everyone knows I am not great with green things (i.e. money, plants, reptiles), but I always want to try. So this year I planted lots of snapdragons, heather sage, some daisies and a few others I can't pronounce. The azaleas are blooming beautifully and the peonies should be on their way soon.
Next week, we start on the mini-vegetable garden!
Gab's garden tip: I just read that you should save the water after you boil eggs and use it to water your plants...
I would love to hear your favorite gardening tips, too.

We are low-maintenance-yard people. We put down weed barrier and drought tolerant plants and have called it good. So I don't have any gardening advice other than plant in clumps so that your flowers make more of a statement.
I would love to see some more lovely pictures of your yard, though. I have never seen your deck or play area. And with all the gardening you're doing, I'm sure it looks beautiful. Show some photos so that we can envision your environment.
you can come plant my garden too, if you'd like. no gardening tips from me, i don't exactly have a green thumb. but you must be better than you say... you are actually planting a garden. that sounds exciting. and i love that you think my boy looks like a despain.. those boys were always such dolls!
Is that a picture of your newly-planted flowers? Gorgeous! Loved how you phrased that "not good at green things." I am right there with ya!
I am having trouble getting back to the blogging, because of the yard..I can't stand to not be out there in the sunshine, cleaning out, picking out and planting flowers...it's just too pretty..my problem is when I come in (around two in the afternoon) I have to go to bed!
